Dramatic plant textures, modern hardscaping and sharp angles enhanced this mid-century modern bungalow. Soft plants were chosen to contrast with the sharp angles of the pathways and hard edges of the MCM home, while providing all-season interest. Horizontal privacy screens wrap the front porch and create intimate garden spaces – some visible only from the street and some visible only from inside the home. The front yard is relatively small in size, but full of colorful texture.

In this project we aimed to create a stylish garden which was both family friendly and low maintenance.
Eco decking was used to create a large contemporary decking area. This composite product is slip resistant and is created using 95% recycled materials so is very eco friendly . This product is extremely low maintenance and long lasting.
Rendered flower beds were built and complement the sleek and simple lines of the garden. A simplistic planting scheme has been utilised to add colour.
A high quality artificial lawn was laid. This product is a great alternative for those looking for a lawn which will look lush all year round and will with stand children and animals playing on it.
The slatted fence runs around the perimeter and adds warmth and texture to the space. Overall this garden is simple yet very slick.
Southern Landscape
A small front yard designed and constructed by Southern Landscape. Prior to construction, this short, steep slope up from the street was both an erosion and safety issue. The only access was down the steep driveway. Southern Landscape designed and installed a series of retaining walls to minimize erosion and a custom staircase to provide access to the street and mailbox.

We built our interpretation of a Japanese Tea House into the hill that rises above our home. As you climb the rustic stone steps that ascend through the Japanese Garden, you pass in front of the round window and approach the side entry.

Our design team gave this already established garden a modern face lift. Using the existing Confier hedge as a backdrop, we under planted with hardy creative shrubs, succulents, and flowering species. Large format pots were placed in focal points and planted with feature trees. The tiling was updated to suit the new style. This garden was designed, constructed and is currently maintained by Harrison's Landscaping

A pond and stream are hidden along these steps. Backyard steps utilize large flagstone pieces. Irish moss, blue star creeper, scotch moss, and mini mondo grass are a few of the plants growing between the stones. This yard has over 60 Japanese Maples and lots of ferns, ligularias, hydrangeas, and other shade plants

Homeowner wanted a space for meditating. The white gravel is calming and represents water. Knox lighting core drilled into bluestone patio highlights the view of the space from her living room.

This is a Roberto Burle Marx- inspired design, a drought tolerant landscape that imitates the vibrant colors and patterns of the tropics. We kept the monstera and bird of paradise plants, and with the colorful trim on the house, it all works together in this eclectic mashup.

This garden was in almost complete shade all day and the soil was permanantly damp. This allowed us to create a small, shallow wildlife pond and surround it with moisture loving plants.
